About NDIS
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government initiative designed to support people with permanent and significant disabilities. The NDIS provides funding for supports and services that help participants build skills, increase independence, and participate fully in everyday life and the community.
At Nile Support Care Services, we are proud to be an NDIS service provider delivering person-centred supports that respect choice, control, and individual goals. We work closely with participants, families, and support networks to ensure services are flexible, reliable, and aligned with each participant’s NDIS plan.
What does it mean?
01
National
The NDIS is being introduced progressively across all states and territories.
02
Disability
The NDIS provides support to eligible people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disability. Early intervention supports can also be provided for eligible people with disability or children with developmental delay.
03
Insurance
The NDIS gives all Australians peace of mind if they, their child or loved one is born with or acquires a permanent and significant disability, they will get the support they need.
04
Scheme
The NDIS is not a welfare system. The NDIS is designed to help people get the support they need so their skills and independence improve over time.
